LEXINGTON, N.C. – N.C. Department of Transportation crews will close a section of Old Linwood Road (State Road 1104) beginning Aug. 4 through Sept. 12 to replace two culverts and perform widening and paving for a new turn lane at the future intersection of Creekside Parkway.
The closure will occur between the intersection of Gurney Kearns Road and Moore Drive in Lexington. The road will remain closed until the work is completed, which is expected to take approximately five weeks.
This construction is part of a multimillion-dollar economic development project to build Creekside Parkway.
During the closure, drivers should follow the signed detour using Albemarle Street, Cotton Grove Road and Brown Street.
