KILL DEVIL HILLS – The N.C. Department of Transportation will install a new traffic signal at the intersection of N.C. 12 and Neptune Drive in Kill Devil Hills next week.
The traffic signal will include a new actuated pedestrian crossing signal across N.C. 12. At actuated crossings, pedestrians press a button that results in the “Walk” signal so people can cross the road safely.
As part of the installation process, NCDOT will be closing Neptune Drive between Memorial Drive and N.C. 12 from 9 a.m. Oct. 7 until 5 p.m. Oct. 8. People will be able to access the American Pie restaurant from Memorial Drive.
Motorists should be aware of the road closure and slow down where the work is taking place.
