WILSON – Carolina Coastal Railway plans to do maintenance to its railroad crossing that will temporarily close Black Creek Road next week.
The railroad plans to begin the road closure at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, and it aims to reopen the road by Oct. 17.
Drivers should plan for a longer commute while using the detour along Charleston St. Southeast and Stantonsburg Road Southeast.
After the railroad crossing maintenance is completed, state highway maintenance workers will re-add asphalt that may have been removed between the road and the tracks.
