WINSTON-SALEM – A contractor for the N.C. Department of Transportation will begin alternate lane closures on Interstate 74 Southbound next week.
Beginning at 7 a.m. on Oct. 13, a lane closure will be installed in the southbound lanes. Crews will alternate lane closures as work progresses until work is completed by Oct. 17, weather permitting. This work is necessary for traffic to switch to the new alignment.
Significant traffic delays are expected, and motorists are urged to plan ahead and follow posted signage.
