KNIGHTDALE - A portion of Hodge Road will temporarily close to allow Carolina Coastal Railroad to improve the railroad crossing and contractors from the N.C. Department of Transportation to complete paving repairs.
Crews will close Hodge Road at Mingo Creek on Jan. 28 at noon, weather permitting, and reopen it by Jan. 31 at 5 p.m.
Traffic will detour using Interstate 87, I-540 and Knightdale Boulevard.
Motorists are advised to plan ahead, follow posted detour signs, and expect some delays while travelling through the area.
