THOMASVILLE – An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will temporarily close a section of U.S. 29 North in Davidson County as part of an ongoing bridge replacement project.
The closure will take place starting tonight and Wednesday night, beginning each night at 8:00 p.m. and continuing until 6:00 a.m. the following morning.
During this time, the northbound direction of U.S. 29 will be closed between National Highway (N.C. 68) and Old Thomasville Road.
Drivers will be detoured along National Highway, West English Road, West Market Center Drive, and West Green Drive to bypass the work zone.
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, remain cautious, and expect potential delays due to detour routes.
