Project Information
In mid-May 2021, Oxford Green Drive will permanently close where it currently connects to Bells Lake Road in order to construct the on- and off-ramps for the future Toll N.C. 540 interchange at Bells Lake Road. Before closing Oxford Green Drive at Bells Lake Road, contractors will extend existing Pony Soldier Drive to connect to Oxford Green Drive. Once complete, residents on Oxford Green Drive will have the following routes to enter or exit the neighborhood to either Bells Lake Road or West Lake Road:
Access Bells Lake Road/West Lake Road:
- Oxford Green Drive to Pony Soldier Drive
- Pony Soldier Drive to Alphawood Drive (right turn)
- Alphawood Drive to Henderson Road (left turn)
- Henderson Road to Optimist Farm Road (left turn)
- Optimist Farm Road to Bells Lake Road
- Henderson Road to Optimist Farm Road (right turn)
- Optimist Farm Road to West Lake Road
Access directly to West Lake Road:
- Oxford Green Drive to Pony Soldier Drive
- Pony Soldier Drive to Alphawood Drive (right turn)
- Alphawood Drive to Maple Bottom Drive (right turn)
- Maple Bottom Drive to Langston Circle (right or left turn)
- Langston Circle to West Lake Road
The N.C. Turnpike Authority hosted a virtual meeting with the neighbors closest to the planned activities to discuss the upcoming construction activities near the future Toll N.C. 540 interchange at Bells Lake Road in late October.
