The proposed project to improve Dillard Road (N.C. 106) between the Georgia State line and Main Street (U.S. 64) in Highlands will not continue toward funding.
N.C. Department of Transportation officials reached this decision after an analysis of the project, R-5836, with local officials, and based on comments received following a public meeting held in August 2018.
It is not certain when, or if, this project will be funded. Other projects in the area may be proposed in the future.
