STIP Number I-5987
Since the 2019 public meetings, NCDOT is proposing to build a new service road, which includes widening and paving of Oak Ridge Road and extending that road onto a new location at the southwest quadrant of the I-95/N.C. 20 interchange (Exit 31). The reconstruction of Oak Ridge Road is needed to accommodate the new realignment of the southbound entrance ramp and proposed roundabout at the Exit 31 interchange while maintaining access to an existing cellular tower and residential property.
Due to COVID-19, NCDOT will not host an in-person public meeting for this project. however, the public is invited to review the updated project map and submit comments.
This document was relevant for this public meeting in 2021, see the project site for the latest information.
