Graham F. Bennett joined the N.C. Board of Transportation in April 2025 and represents Division 9.
Bennett worked for over 40 years for Quality Oil Company in Winston-Salem and served in several capacities, including the company’s chairman/CEO until he retired in 2025. Before entering the private sector, Bennett worked in state government from 1975 to 1978 for former North Carolina Gov. Jim Hunt.
He serves on the Board of Directors for Piedmont Triad Airport Authority and Winston-Salem Business, Inc. and is involved in numerous civic organizations. He is also on the advisory board for Project Impact and has previously served on several other boards, including Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Brenner Children’s Hospital and the Winston-Salem Chamber of Commerce.
Bennett has a bachelor’s in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and resides in Winston-Salem. He and his wife have three children, five grandchildren and are members of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Winston-Salem.
