Brad C. Lail joined the N.C. Board of Transportation in August 2020 and represents Division 12, which comprises Alexander, Catawba, Cleveland, Gaston, Iredell and Lincoln counties.
Lail is employed in family businesses, including Hickory Furniture Mart and franchise hotels in Hickory and western North Carolina.
He served on the Hickory City Council from 2003-2019. He was an appointee to the Greater Hickory MPO, the N.C. Disciplinary Hearing Commission and the N.C. Building Code Council.
Lail, a lifelong Hickory resident, is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He and his wife, Meg Nealon, have three daughters.
