MONROE – N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will be working on U.S. 74 West at U.S. 601 in Monroe this week, requiring a lane closure on Wednesday night, Aug. 8.
The westbound right lane will be closed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday while crews take bore samples for a future intersection improvement project.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution and remain alert in the area.
