UNIONVILLE – Contract crews working on the Monroe Expressway project will be working on U.S. 601 near Baucom Deese Road in Unionville from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, weather permitting.
Workers will shift traffic in both directions to a new alignment at U.S. 601 and Baucom Deese Road, and will relocate the existing traffic signal at the intersection to line up with the new traffic pattern.
The road will temporarily close up to 30 minutes to stripe the pavement on the new alignment, so a detour will not be posted.
