RALEIGH – An N.C. Department of Transportation public meeting scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 20, in Wake County is postponed because of Hurricane Florence and the anticipated need to clean up and respond after the storm has passed. The department will reschedule the meeting to mid-October.
The meeting, about a proposal to conduct grade separation of the Northeast Maynard Road rail crossing of the Norfolk Southern/N.C. Railroad Line and CSX Line to replace the at-grade crossing in Cary, was to be held from 4-7 p.m. at the Ridge Road Baptist Church in Raleigh.
Announcements will follow shortly after scheduling a new date.
