Public Meeting Scheduled for Falls of Neuse Road Widening in Raleigh

RALEIGH – The N.C. Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting next week regarding the proposed project to widen Falls of Neuse Road between I-540 and Durant Road in Raleigh. Engineers will present an updated project design at the open-house.

Following the initial public meeting held in August 2017, and after citizen comments were reviewed and meetings were held with local officials, modifications were made to the project’s public meeting maps. These modified maps will be presented at the upcoming meeting.

Maps of the proposed designs of the improvements can be found at https://www.ncdot.gov/news/public-meetings/Pages/U-5826-2018-10-16.aspx.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 16, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lifepointe Church, 9500 Durant Road in Raleigh. Interested residents may attend at any time during the meeting hours, as no formal presentation will be made.

NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and listen to comments regarding the project. Comments may also be submitted via email or phone by November 1. Comments received will be taken into consideration as the project develops.

For additional information or to submit a comment after the meeting, contact Senior Project Engineer John Braxton at 919-220-4717.

NCDOT will provide auxiliary aids and services under the Americans with Disabilities Act for disabled persons who wish to participate in this meeting.
