SURF CITY— Little Kinston Road in Surf City will be closed for two days next week at its intersection with N.C. 50/210. The closure on Tuesday, Nov. 6, and Wednesday, Nov. 7, is needed so crews can safely tie-in Little Kinston Road and the new mainland roundabout.
“During this time, please use caution as crews will be working around the clock to complete the tie-in,” says NCDOT Project Engineer Ben Meyer. “Access will be restored as soon as possible once the work is finished.”
Drivers can get around the closure using JH Batts Road. They are urged to slow down and pay extra attention as they approach the work zone. They should also anticipate possibly needing more time to get through the area because of the detour.
