KITTY HAWK – The N.C. Department of Transportation’s Bridge Maintenance Unit will soon be replacing cross pipes under Kitty Hawk Road, requiring the closure of the road in two places for a week at a time each.
The first closure will take place between Shelby Avenue and Moor Shore Road, and will take place from 7 a.m. Nov. 12 through 6 p.m. Nov. 17.
The second closure will take place between Elijah Baum Road and Herbert Perry Road from 7 a.m. Nov. 26 through 6 p.m. Dec. 1.
Both closures will utilize The Woods Road as a detour route around the work zones. The detour route will be well-marked with signs and message boards.
