WINTERVILLE – Work that is part of the Boyd Street improvements will require a brief weekend closure of a section of North Railroad Street in Winterville, as contractors install a sewer manhole.
Starting Saturday, Nov. 17, at 7 a.m., both lanes of North Railroad Street near the intersection of Boyd Street will be closed to allow contractors room for the quick manhole installation and ensure the safety of motorists traveling near the worksite. Engineers expect the work to be completed in one day and the roadway reopened by 5 p.m.
Motorists will be detoured around the closure using Worthington Street, Mill Street, and Tyson Street.
Drivers are encouraged to exercise caution when approaching the site and traveling along the detour routes.
