Forsyth County Road to Close During Bridge Replacement

BETHANIA – Part of Main Street in the Forsyth County town of Bethania will be closed starting at 8 a.m. Monday while transportation construction crews replace a bridge on the road.

The road between Turfwood Drive and High Cliffs Road will be closed to through traffic while crews replace the bridge over Muddy Creek. The closure will help to ensure safety of crew members as the old bridge is completely removed and replaced.

The portion of Main Street is expected to reopen in May when the new bridge is completed.

Signs will be erected along Main Street directing traffic to turn right on Reynolda Road, right again on Tobaccoville Road, and then to Doral Drive.

Drivers are encouraged to stay alert and avoid speeding through the detour.
