Public Meeting Scheduled for Proposed Improvements to Williamson Road

MOORESVILLE The public can weigh in this week on a project under development to widen a section of Williamson Road between I-77 and Brawley School Road in Mooresville.

The project was submitted for funding consideration through the Strategic Transportation Improvements program in the division needs tier, receiving 79 out of 100 potential points. It has support of both the local NCDOT division and Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization (CRTPO).

The meeting is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29, at the Harbor Church PCA, 433 Williamson Road. People can drop in at any time to meet the project team, ask questions and submit comments. There will not be a formal presentation.

For those who cannot attend the meeting, they may submit comments in writing, phone or email through Dec. 13. All comments received will be reviewed and considered for the final design.

NCDOT will provide auxiliary aids and services under the Americans with Disabilities Act for disabled persons who wish to participate in this meeting.
