WILMINGTON - Maintenance work will create lane closures on Interstate 140 in New Hanover County starting this week.
N.C. Department of Transportation crews will be doing joint replacement work at mile marker 19, crossing over CSX railroad tracks.
Crews will close one lane at a time, leaving the other three open to traffic. This work will take place from Wednesday, Dec. 12, to Friday, Dec. 21, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
While there will be no detour in place, motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid work crews and potential congestion.
