Public Meetings for Proposed Improvements to Sections of N.C. 73 and Interchange at I-77

CHARLOTTE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will hold two public meetings next month for projects to improve N.C. 73 between N.C. 16 in Lincoln County and Northcross Drive in Mecklenburg County, and to upgrade the Interstate 77/N.C. 73 interchange. The aim of both projects is to improve connectivity and mobility.

The first meeting will be held Monday, Feb. 5, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Meadowlake Church, 6501 Gilead Road in Huntersville, where citizens can learn about both projects. The second meeting will be held Tuesday, Feb. 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. at East Lincoln Community Center, 8160 Optimist Club Road in Denver, focusing only on the proposed improvements along N.C. 73.

The public may attend either or both meetings at any time to meet with NCDOT representatives and submit comments. No formal presentation will be made at either meeting.

Comments can also be submitted by phone, email or mail through March 12. NCDOT will provide auxiliary aids and services under the Americans with Disabilities Act for disabled persons who wish to participate in this meeting. Persons who speak Spanish and have a limited ability to read, speak or understand English may receive interpretive services upon request prior to the meeting by calling 1-800-481-6494.
