BURLINGTON – A section of an Alamance County road is temporarily closed for a maintenance project. The N.C. Department of Transportation is replacing a failing drainage pipe under Holt Cross Road.
The work is expected to wrap up by Jan. 18, although the timeline could be affected by weather.
A signed detour will be in place during the closure, following Mount Herman Rock Creek and Russell McPherson roads.
Drivers are urged to slow down when approaching the closure, and to anticipate possibly needing more time for traveling through the area because of the detour.
