CHARLOTTE – N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews tonight will stripe travel lanes along a portion of I-85 between University City Boulevard and Glenwood Drive, weather permitting.
Intermittent lane closures will be in place in both directions from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8. Depending on progress, work may continue Tuesday night.
Law enforcement will be present to help with traffic control, and overhead message signs will be used to alert motorists to the work taking place.
Motorists are encouraged to pay attention when approaching the work zone, obey the posted speed limit, and allow extra time to reach their destinations safely.
