RALEIGH – Work on the
Capital Boulevard bridge replacements project will require a short-term lane closure in both directions of the roadway this weekend.
To allow room for drainage work, the project contractor will install a single lane closure on the north and southbound outside lanes tonight. These closures will span the length of the project and reopen once contractor crews finish the work on Sunday.
The project reached a major milestone this past December with the opening of the new Wade Avenue ramp-bridge. The new loop carrying traffic from eastbound Wade Avenue onto northbound Capital Boulevard is expected to open in April.
