CONCORD – An NCDOT project to replace a failing pipe under Roberta Road in Cabarrus County will require the closure of a short section of the road near Farm Lake Drive for three days next week.
Work is scheduled to start Monday morning, Feb. 25, with the road expected to be open by Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 27.
Motorists will be able to use Roberta Road up until the closed section between Farm Lake Drive and Rubens Road, southwest of Concord, but will have to detour to get around the work zone.
The signed detour route uses George Liles Parkway, U.S. 29, Cabarrus Avenue, U.S. 601 and Old Charlotte Road.
Drivers are urged to slow down and pay extra attention when approaching the work site. They should anticipate needing extra time to travel through the area because of the detour.
