GREENSBORO – A pair of bridge replacement projects beginning next week will send drivers on detours for the next few months.
The N.C. Department of Transportation will close Causey Lake and Wiley Lewis roads next week where they cross Little Alamance Creek in southeast Greensboro.
The section of Causey Lake Road will close at 9 a.m. Monday and is expected to reopen on June 28. Until that time, traffic will be directed along a signed detour following Alamance Church and Nelson Farm roads and East Lee Street.
The starting date for the closure on Wiley Lewis Road has yet to be set. The detour for Wiley Lewis Road will follow Alamance Church, SE School, Williams Dairy and Liberty roads until the bridge there reopens, tentatively on June 15.
Drivers should slow down and use caution near the work zones and be prepared for extra travel times because of the detour routes.
