OAK RIDGE – Part of a road in northwest Guilford County will close for several months beginning next week so the N.C. Department of Transportation can replace a bridge over the Haw River.
Eversfield Road will close on either side of the river at 9 a.m. Monday. It is scheduled to reopen by July 26.
A signed detour utilizing N.C. 150, East Harrell Road, N.C. 68, U.S. 158 and Athens Road will be in place throughout the closure.
Drivers are urged to slow down and remain attentive near the work zone, and to anticipate possible delays associated with the detour.
