TROY – Access to Page Street in Troy will be impacted for a couple of weeks while contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation realign the road for the bypass being constructed around the town.
The road will be closed where it meets N.C. 24-27 from May 9-23. This will enable the contractor to realign the road with the extension that will connect it to the new bypass, which is expected to open late this summer.
Page Street will still be accessible by traveling west on N.C. 24-27 into Troy, turning right on North Main Street and right again onto Page. Signs will be in place for the detour.
Drivers should use caution near the work zone and those accessing Page Street should plan for extra travel time because of the detour.
