MCADENVILLE – Work to improve pedestrian access along Wesleyan Drive between U.S. 29/74 and Forest Heights Drive starts Monday, Aug. 12, with temporary road closures.
The westbound right lane on U.S. 29/74 will close then to accommodate work crews, which will include paving and striping and work on a crosswalk and other pedestrian facilities.
Nightly closures will also be in place on U.S. 29/74 and Wesleyan Drive on Aug. 14 and 15 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. to provide a safe work area.
Drivers need to slow down and use extra caution while going through the work zones. They also need to pay extra attention to the road and any construction crews in the area.
