MORRISVILLE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will close multiple lanes of Aviation Parkway at the
Evans Road intersection beginning at 11:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16.
Drivers in both directions will share one lane. Law enforcement and flaggers will be directing traffic throughout the weekend work as an NCDOT contractor performs water line work as a part of the McCrimmon Parkway extension from Airport Boulevard to Aviation Parkway.
All lanes should reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 19.
Motorists should avoid the area, if possible. As always, drivers should proceed through the work zone with extreme caution and allow extra time to reach their destination. There will be no detour.
