More Ramp Closures Planned at I-85 Interchange in Davidson County

THOMASVILLE – More overnight ramp closures are planned for this weekend at the Interstate 85 interchange with Lake Road in Davidson County.

Similar to closures that took place earlier this week on I-85 South, the ramps to and from I-85 North at Lake Road, Exit 102, are scheduled to close from 8 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Saturday.

The following detours will be in place during the closures:

Drivers wanting to access I-85 North from Lake Road will take I-85 South to U.S. 64 (Exit 96) to access I-85 North.
I-85 North traffic will continue to N.C. 109 (Exit 103) and backtrack on I-85 South to access Lake Road.

Drivers should slow down and be cautious in this area and plan ahead for extra travel time because of the detours.
