HIGH POINT – State transportation contractors plan to close an interstate ramp in Guilford County nightly this week.
The ramp from N.C. 68/Eastchester Drive onto Interstate 74 West is scheduled to close each night from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m., ending Saturday morning.
The closure is needed for contract crews to install a noise wall as part of the project to improve the interchange.
Traffic will be detoured to take I-74 East to Greensboro Road (Exit 69) to access I-74 West.
Drivers should be cautious of the crews at work near the Eastchester Drive interchange and allow extra time for the detour.
