HIGH POINT – An exit ramp on Interstate 74 is scheduled to close temporarily as part of an interchange improvement project in Guilford County.
N.C. Department of Transportation contractors plan to close the ramp from I-74 East to N.C. 68/Eastchester Drive (Exit 67) from 8 p.m. Friday until 1 p.m. Saturday.
The closure is needed for crews to safely remove a portable barrier wall and to pave the ramp.
During the closure, traffic will be detoured to continue east on I-74 to Greensboro Road at Exit 69 and head back on I-74 West to access N.C. 68/Eastchester Drive.
Drivers should be mindful of crews working in this area and allow extra time for the detour.
