THOMASVILLE – A ramp onto Interstate 85 in Davidson County is set to close overnight twice this week as part of a bridge preservation project.
Weather permitting, contract crews are scheduled to close the ramp from N.C. 109/Randolph Street onto I-85 South from 8 p.m. Monday until 6 a.m. Tuesday and again during the same hours from Tuesday evening to Wednesday morning.
The closure will enable crews to safely perform preservation work on a bridge near the end of the ramp.
While the ramp is closed, traffic will be detoured to follow I-85 North to Finch Farm Road to access I-85 South.
Drivers should be cautious near the work zone and allow extra time for the detour.
