Raeford Road in Cumberland County Expected to Close Again

FAYETTEVILLE – An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor hopes to complete the steel girder installation this weekend for the Fayetteville Outer Looper Interchange, which will close Raeford Road again in both directions.

Rain last weekend prevented the contractor from installing most of the girders in western Fayetteville.

As before, the road will close at 8 p.m. Friday and reopen by 5 a.m. Monday. The marked detour also will be the same, sending motorists onto Skibo and Cliffdale roads.

The Fayetteville Outer Loop (N.C. 295) interchange at Raeford Road is scheduled to open by this fall. People can learn more about the Fayetteville Outer Loop at this NCDOT page.
