WINSTON-SALEM – A section of a Forsyth County road is closing while crews work to repair a bridge over the Winston-Salem Northern Beltway.
A girder on the Hastings Hill Road bridge over beltway was apparently struck by an overheight vehicle. The bridge, located between Kernersville Road and the northern intersection with Sedge Garden Road, is expected to be closed from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the end of the month.
While the bridge is closed, drivers will be detoured to follow Kernersville and Sedge Garden roads to access points on either side of Hastings Hill Road.
Drivers should be mindful of crews working in this location and allow extra time for the detour.
