HIGH POINT – Contract crews plan to close the ramp from northbound Eastchester Drive/N.C. 68 to Interstate 74 East over the weekend.
The ramp is set to close from 8 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Monday so crews can remove concrete barrier wall, pave the ramp and work on the ramp shoulders.
Drivers will be detoured up I-74 West to Johnson Street to access I-74 East during the closure.
Transportation officials urge drivers to be cautious near the work zone and plan ahead for the detour.
