RALEIGH — As part of the Interstate 440 Improvements project, N.C. Department of Transportation contractors are scheduled to close the eastbound Wade Avenue ramp to I-440 West Sunday night.
From midnight until 6 a.m. Monday, the ramp will be closed to allow crews to place pavement on the new ramp.
A detour will lead drivers to turn right onto Faircloth and Hillsborough streets to get onto I-440 West.
These closures are weather dependent and subject to change. The rain date for this work is Monday night.
Motorists should allow extra time to navigate the detour and slow down and pay attention throughout the work zone.
