SALISBURY – Part of a Rowan County road is set to close for several days while N.C. Department of Transportation maintenance crews replace a drainage pipe.
A culvert under Patterson Road about a mile south of N.C. 150 has failed, resulting in water not passing under the roadway correctly. The repair is essential to make the road safe for drivers and prevent damage to both the road and adjacent properties.
Crews plan to close Patterson Road while working at this location beginning Monday. The work is expected to last two days, weather permitting.
During this time, traffic will follow N.C. 150/Mooresville Road, Miller and Weaver roads to access points on either side of the work zone.
Drivers should be mindful of crews working to repair the roadway and allow extra time for the detours.
