MORRISVILLE — N.C. Department of Transportation contractors have closed two northbound lanes on Aviation Parkway at the bridge over Interstate 40.
The closure of the two right lanes, which started today at noon, begins just before the ramp onto I-40 East and ends on the other side of the bridge over the highway and is necessary while the bridge's concrete approach slab is repaired.
No ramps will be closed as a part of this work, which is set to be complete by 5 a.m. Monday.
Motorists need to slow down and pay extra attention as they travel through the work zone.
