RALEIGH – The N.C. Department of Transportation will be closing a Rowan County road for several days next week to replace a storm drain, weather permitting.
From Sept. 27- Oct. 1, White Farm Road will be closed at the intersection of U.S. Highway 601 near Rowan Memorial Park while crews replace one storm drain culvert that crosses under the roadway. This work is necessary to prevent damage to the roadway and adjacent properties. If rescheduled, work will be performed Oct. 4-8.
Traffic will be detoured to U.S. 601 and back to White Farm Road.
Drivers should observe signage and use caution while using the detour.
