RALEIGH – Thanks to a new $4.6 million contract awarded by the N.C. Department of Transportation, an 8.3-mile stretch of U.S. 64 Business and N.C. 97 between Liles-Dean Road/Hanor Lane and the Franklin County Line will be resurfaced.
Under the same contract, awarded to Carolina Sunrock of Raleigh, an additional 16.3 miles of state-maintained roads throughout eastern Wake County will also be resurfaced.
Work can begin as soon as this spring and must be complete by next fall.
