RALEIGH — N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews are planning to close the I-440 West ramp to Western Boulevard (Exit 2) tonight.
The ramp will be closed from 9 p.m. tonight until noon tomorrow so pavement repairs can be made. A detour will direct drivers to Melbourne Road (Exit 1D) to turnaround and then take Exit 2 for Western Boulevard.
Drivers need to pay extra attention and anticipate needing a little extra time for the detour.
