DELWAY - A section of N.C. 903 in Sampson County is scheduled to be closed for two weeks while N.C. Department of Transportation crews remove and replace several pipes.
All lanes of the highway between U.S. 421 and Old Camp Road in Duplin County are scheduled to close at 8 a.m. Feb. 14 and reopen by 5 p.m. Feb. 25, weather permitting. During this time, crews will remove five failing and undersized crossline pipes and replace them with new, larger ones.
Drivers will be detoured from U.S. 421 to N.C. 41, Old Camp Road to N.C. 903.
NCDOT encourages drivers to anticipate their commute may take longer than normal and plan ahead and use caution when traveling near the work zone.
