PLEASANT GARDEN – A section of a local road is set to be closed over the next few months while pipes under the roadway are replaced.
The two pipes that allow water from Wood Lake to drain under Sheraton Park Road have run their useful course and will be replaced with one larger pipe. To do so safely, crews plan to close Sheraton Park Road for about 90 days – from the early hours of March 7 until early June.
During the closure, drivers will be directed to follow Randleman, Spur and Davis Mill roads to access points on either side of the work zone.
Drivers should watch out for crews working in this area and allow extra time for the detour.
