HAVELOCK – A section of Lake Road in Craven County will close next week to allow crews to safely do maintenance work.
The road south of Havelock, near the Carteret County line, will be closed to traffic between 8 a.m. April 18 and 4 p.m. April 21. The closure will allow crews to replace two pipes in the area.
Drivers who need to access either side of Lake Road can use U.S. 70 and Nine Foot Road. The detour will take motorists longer than normal, so it should be taken into account. The N.C. Department of Transportation also urges people to use caution around the work zone.
