NEW BERN – Maintenance work at the U.S. 70 / U.S. 17 interchange in Craven County is scheduled to be completed on Monday.
The following locations are set to close for milling, resurfacing and paint striping at 6 a.m.:
Right lane of U.S. 70 East from about 800 feet west of the Trent River bridge, up to Exit 417 A-B
Exit ramp 417 A-B to U.S. 17 North / N.C. 55 East
The U.S. 70 East left and center lanes on the Trent River bridge will remain open.
The closures are expected to be complete by 5 p.m. the same day. Work associated with this project will then be complete.
Message boards alerting the public to the closures are posted in the area.
