MOORESVILLE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will be closing a section of an Iredell County road for about three weeks for a construction project.
Starting May 23, Overhead Bridge Road will be closed in both directions between Mazeppa Road and Oliphant Road to allow crews to safely perform deck repairs. Work is expected to be completed by June 11.
Traffic will follow a detour using N.C. 801, Triplett Road and Mazeppa Road to return to Overhead Bridge Road.
Motorists are advised to plan for delays and use additional caution while adjusting to the detour route.
