GREENSBORO – Overnight construction will close the ramp onto U.S. 29 North at Interstate 40 from on Saturday night.
A contractor for the N.C. Department of Transportation will close the ramp from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. in order to place safety barrier and install new striping.
The marked detour directs traffic to take the previous exit (Martin Luther King Jr. Drive) and continue straight through the intersection and back to U.S. 29 North.
Transportation officials remind drivers to remain alert and obey all posted traffic signs in the work zone.
